Paul Dunion at the Egg

A NEW PARADIGM OF SELF-LOVE

Dr. Paul Dunion Invites You to a Workshop

Saturday October 7, 2017
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The Dragon’s Egg Studio
401 Shewville Road, Ledyard, CT

Everything from the affirmations of Pop Psychology to the therapeutic work of Family of Origin has attempted to support Self-Esteem. The psychological literature does not address the importance of Self-Intimacy. Love and Intimacy are in a mutually complementary relationship whether with another person or with ourselves. This workshop focuses upon what it means to take responsibility for building a loving and intimate relationship with the Self.

We will explore several ways to promote this relationship:

  • Prioritize our spiritual responsibility to deepen how we relate to ourselves.
  • Identify and interrupt the purposes of self-contempt.
  • How to integrate the meaningful role of self-forgiveness.
  • How to interrupt shame.
  • Undoing comparing and contrasting ourselves to others, resulting in the interruption of hierarchy.
  • Commit to devotionally support Self-Intimacy.

We will explore what it takes to integrate these self-relatedness skills into our lives resulting in Self-Intimacy. This workshop employs short lectures, storytelling, paired exercises, guided meditation, and movement.
