Greetings from the Mystic Paper Beasts and the Dragon’s Egg. Spring into Summer! 2026
The Egg has re opened!
I have had MPB rehearsals in the space – ahhh, lovely! We have had an actress using the space for an upcoming play, we have had a dance residency, hooping and yoga have begun! Ecstatic dance, dances of peace, past live regression, drumming, and a monthly music concert put on by Jay and Lydia – with a number of rock and roll bands and a light show – the first was on May 23 – all have begun. Circus workshops are upcoming, mime, mask play for children, chakra yoga, the Narrative event, play reading by Nick Checker’s group, other dance and theatre residencies. All coming, or happening!
We had a fabulous “Hygienic Egg” in early March. Marya’s prompt was “Chekhov’s Gun” and the responses were varied and original. Performers: Clare Byrne, Serena Judge, Ara Fitzgerald, Bobbi Nidzgorski, Catherine Gasta, Bernadette Golden, Alison Cook Beatty Dance (8 dancers). The audience wandered through the galleries to experience dance, music, hooping, mime, theatre, puppetry.
The Narrative Event – “A Decameron for Our Times” – will be on August 29th at 4 pm at the Egg.
Marya has had numerous performances via Arts for Education Massachusetts, completed an arts training with them, and has also performed at the Lyman Allyn, and at libraries and schools in Connecticut.

June 7th: 1-5 pm Egg re opening! Music, dancing, croquet, badminton, hooping, jollity.
July 1 and 30: Hoxie opening (7/1 at 5 pm) and closing (7/30 at 4 pm) Dan Potter Art
August 29: 4 pm Narrative Project
September 19: 2 pm Dragon’s Egg Presents! at University Settlement in NYC
In the meantime, we go on. We rely on Memberships and Donations, especially at this particular time, while the Egg is re opening: heat is $700/month, wifi is $100, insurance has gone up, etc, and we have not yet generated income in our beautiful newly renewed space. Do come visit! And donate!
Levels of membership: “mouse” at $25 a year, to “dragon” at $100 and above.
