Jane Eyre – this year’s Summer Narrative Project at the Dragon’s Egg
This Saturday!!!
June 23, 4 pm, at the Dragon’s Egg, 401 Shewville Road, Ledyard.
This summer will be our 15th annual narrative project – wow! We began with Dante, have cycled through Faust,
Shakespeare, Ovid, and last year – Animal Farm.
This year’s theme will be Jane Eyre, by Bronte.
Woman writer, woman protagonist, mistreatment, the Red Room and the stool, Mr, Rochester and love, madness in the attic, voices in the air, independence and integrity, fire! – a good story with many themes and moods – enjoy the exploration!
There will be dancers, actors, musicians, poets, beasts- all performing some sort of “take” on the book, in this one time only performance, assembled/directed by Marya.
Appropriate for all ages. Donation of $5 is suggested. The show should last between 1 and 1 1/2 hours.
