An Assemblage performance project, open to all; donations are welcome.

Performers will include Clare Byrne, Ara Fitzgerald, Cecelia Foxanesi, Melanie Greenhouse, Martha Moore, Claire Porter, Jason Rabin, Leslie Satin, Jessie Winograd and dancers. Perhaps more….

For the past 17 years, the Dragon’s Egg has offered a one time only live assemblage “Narrative Project”, in which Marya sends a prompt to artists, with the request that they respond to the topic, reflect on it, in dance, theatre, puppet, monologue, mask, poetry – in the medium of their choice. Each of these offerings if 5 minutes or less. Marya assembles them together.

Typically local and distant performers, under her loose guidance, create semi improvised, antic bridge intervals using Mystic Paper Beast masks.
This year, we shall be on zoom! Live, on August 15, at 4 pm EST, and these intervals will not be present, but Marya, as MC, will instead be the guide as we see the reflections the performers bring.
This year, the theme, the prompt Marya sent out, on March 8th, was Camus’ The Plague. Little did we know. Performers may diverge from this text widely, or they may have used a single line as inspiration for their reflection.
