Stroller Scene showing on Saturday at 3 is Cancelled, because they are fully ensconced in working on the play, and want to keep working.
This is what the Egg is for – the development of work, playing, creating, dreaming.
I have known this group for many years: the founder was a student of mine at the National Theatre Institute! and several of the actors and writers are likewise former nti students!
stroller scene’s mission is to develop and advocate for new plays. We believe in the power of a live audience and craft our work with that in mind. Through providing workshop opportunities, we hope to put plays on the path to receive future productions.
Pageant Play by Jen Diamond, is an exciting new play which we will spend the week developing through various staging concepts to further its growth. It depicts the annual Derby Dolls Pageant in Derby Nevada, a beauty pageant celebrating the women who survived that first harsh winter to found the town – but this year the pageant is troubled.
Come to a showing on Saturday the 19th of August at 3 pm for Stroller Scene!
I have known this group for many years, and the founder was a student of mine at the National Theatre Institute! I am always thrilled to have them. If you have come before, they used to go by Team Awesome Robots, and then, for a year or two, by 1d.
