“SAGA OF MARATHON” DRAMATIZATION AT DRAGON’S EGG

On Sunday, August 29th, 4:00 PM, local author Nicholas Checker will present a staged theatrical reading of select sequences from his popular new novel, The Saga of Marathon, at the Dragon’s Egg Theatre & Dance Studio, 401 Shewville Rd, Ledyard, CT. The story is a blend of ancient legend, mythology, and history about the brave young foot-courier who, in 490 BC, ran 26 perilous miles from the Battlefield of Marathon to the visionary city of Athens on a daring quest to save the future of the world’s first democracy. The event is free to attend and donations of any amount will go to future Dragon’s Egg activities. (Free refreshments.)
