In Relational Circling, we bring our attention to the connection between people and what arises in ourselves in a social environment. In conversation, we share the intention to notice and reveal our thoughts, feelings, and desires in the moment, and we often come away with surprising new discoveries. It affords a visceral sense of connection, intimacy and authentic expression. Our plan is to gather for the weekend with closed committed group and sink into the intimacy of connection through offering the circling practice along with authentic movement type modalities. Authentic Movement
Authentic Movement is a profoundly simple form in which a mover moves with eyes closed in the presence of a witness. People engage in Authentic Movement as a form of meditative, spiritual practice, or therapy, or to increase consciousness, or to connect with their creativity and creative process. The mover, with eyes closed, turns her/his attention inward and focuses on internal impulses, sensations, feelings and images as they emerge. She/He allows these to be expressed freely through natural intrinsic body movement, breath, and sound. There is no right way, no wrong way to do A.M.; there is only each person’s unique way. The particular relationship between mover and witness, in moving and being seen by another, creates a non-judgmental and powerful framework within which this work takes place. The practice of the witness is to develop a meditative, compassionate presence that provides the mover with a sense of safety and unconditional acceptance. The mover and witness together can achieve a level of perception of self and other that evokes deep respect and empathy. Authentic Movement is practiced individually or in a group with an experienced teacher/witness.
