Ahhh summer! The heat, the storms, the lush green growing garden, the sea. We continue with our (nearly) monthly Living Room Playreading, in which we gather together, a group of unpracticed readers, to read a play together.
We have so far read Dead Man’s Cellphone, Cloud 9, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, The Importance of Being Ernest, “Blithe Spirit”, others…
We each bring our copy (I have ordered a couple and shall also haunt the libraries for copies), or bring it as a pdf on a computer or such, roles are assigned, and off we go.
We have tea and very light snacks. It is mostly about reading!
Summer is proving very busy, but look for announcements of a future play reading! It is great fun!
I am thinking of “Tis Pity She’s a Whore”, which is rather bloody, or perhaps someone has a comedy to suggest!
