Everything from the affirmations of Pop Psychology to the therapeutic work of Family of Origin has attempted to support Self-Esteem. The psychological literature does not address the importance of Self-Intimacy. Love and Intimacy are in a mutually complementary relationship whether with another person or with ourselves. This workshop focuses upon what it means to take responsibility for building a loving and intimate relationship with the Self.
We will explore several ways to promote this relationship:
We will explore what it takes to integrate these self-relatedness skills into our lives resulting in Self-Intimacy. This workshop employs short lectures, storytelling, paired exercises, guided meditation, and movement.
Workshop facilitator:
Paul Dunion, EdD, LPC, is a teacher and psychological healer who has been offering workshops, classes, and has been writing about the human potential movement since 1980. He is presently a regular blogger for The Huffington Post and has written 5 books, the latest published in 2016 and titled Seekers: Finding Our Way Home.
